The Sound of Voices Three - Lauren Wb Vermette, Mike Nelson, and Kelly Flynn

  • The Word Barn 66 Newfields Road Exeter, NH, 03833 United States (map)

Lauren Wb Vermette, named “Most Promising Poet” by Farmington’s Goodwin Library, has been a featured reader for Rochester’s Writer’s Night, Rochester Library’s National Poetry Month Celebration, the First Friday Coffeehouse in Exeter, Portsmouth Community Radio’s Writers in the Round series, and Beat Night at The Press Room.

Mike Nelson is the organizer and host of Portsmouth’s Beat Night, founder of Tribe Poetry Project, and the Poet Laureate of Portsmouth. His ultimate dream is to become a gnome that lives in the nook of an old tree deep in the forest, swim with frogs in vernal pools, live on honey and blueberries and be friends with all the animals.

Kelly M. Flynn has been featured in Poet Showcase: An Anthology of New Hampshire Poets, and has published work in Spectacular Magazine and The Graham House Review. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, she has read her work at the Blacksmith House in Harvard Square, and at Phillips Exeter Academy, where she teaches English.
