John Elder Talk and 'Vermont' Italian Dinner

Conservationist,  literature professor, sugar bush owner, and author John Elder defines pilgrimage as “a journey motivated by the power of old stories, a path along which ordinary citizens may pursue the traces of saints, heroes, or prophets.” Join him for dinner followed by a talk about the 19th Century early conservationist George Perkins Marsh, linking the Tuscan and Vermont landscapes, olive growing and maple sugaring.

Cost: $30 in advance (available at the Quechee/Wilder Libraries); or $35 at the door on the day of the event (space is limited).
