Jacqueline Wernimont, a new Dartmouth faculty member, and the inaugural bearer of the Distinguished Professorship in Digital Humanities and Social Engagement, presents her new book, Numbered Lives: Life and Death in Quantum Media (MIT Press, 2018), in conversation with Paul Young, Chair of Film and Media Studies. Wernimont's work explores the history of pedometers and other forms of Anglo-American quanitification, and their "entanglement with religious, imperial, and patriarchal paradigms."

This event will be held in the Baker-Berry Library East Reading Room on the Dartmouth College Campus.
